Los Angeles Lakers power forward Anthony Davis didn't play against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.
Davis, 28, nearly missed the Lakers' 106-100 loss to the New York Knicks on Tuesday due to flu-like symptoms from a non-COVID-19 illness, and the team confirmed those symptoms caused Davis to miss the team's game in Indianapolis.
The Lakers played the Knicks' game without LeBron James, who was suspended for the game following an altercation with the Detroit Pistons' Isaiah Stewart on Sunday.
Davis has averaged 24.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game this season for the Lakers. He shot just 7 of 17 from the floor and 5 of 11 from the free-throw line in scoring 20 points against New York.
After the Lakers suffered their fourth defeat in five games, James return to the lineup against the Pacers.
The Pacers have won two games in a row, blowing out the New Orleans Pelicans 111-94 on Saturday and the Chicago Bulls 109-77 on Monday.
