Neue Auctions will conduct an online pandemic rescue auction on May 30. The auction proceeds will be used to support local antique and art dealers in and around the Cleveland area.
Beachwood, Ohio (Merxwire) -Neue Auctions will hold a pandemic disaster relief auction at 11 a.m. Eastern time on Saturday, May 30th. The online auction items are all "old and new stock" antiques, decorative arts, fine arts and jewelry commissioned by local distributors in northeastern Ohio. The purpose of this auction is to assist antique and art dealers in the Cleveland area and surrounding areas through the damage caused by COVID-19 pandemic.
A strong candidate for auctioning top lots is Tiffany's 14kt white gold diamond ring, with pre-sale estimates of $ 4,000- $ 6,000. This ring is a 1.2 carat diamond set in 14kt yellow gold. The other item is a Potter and Mellen necklace with 57 sterling silver 8mm hammer balls on an 18УТН-inch chain. The pre-sale estimate is $ 250- $ 350.
One of Neue's bidding platforms УЂтЌт Liveauctioneers.com УЂтЌт will donate 80 percent of proceeds from all first-time online purchases to the Meals on Wheels COVID Response Fund and the World Health Organization COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. "Please help support our local economy and your favorite dealers by participating in this auction," Maciejewski said.
"Many shops have had to close and many shows have been cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic," said Cynthia Maciejewski of Neue Auctions. "We have a reduced seller rate for these dealers, so bidders can rest assured that any participation in this sale will directly impact these dealers who will realize a greater portion of proceeds from each lot purchased."
