China's Macau reports Covid cases, begins mass testing

After discovering 12 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, Macau's government began mass COVID-19 testing for all residents this week
The government also announced various control measures, such as closing schools, parks, museums and sports facilities to reduce crowds
People leaving the gambling hub were expected to have a certificate of negative Covid test results taken within 24 hours of departure

MACAU: After discovering 12 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, Macau's government began mass COVID-19 testing for all residents this week.

The government also announced various control measures, such as closing schools, parks, museums and sports facilities to reduce the gathering of crowds.

Also, people leaving the gambling hub were expected to have a certificate of negative Covid test results taken within 24 hours of departure.
