Yemen's Houthi rebels have carried out missile and drone strikes on a Saudi military base and an oil facility, expanding their attacks on Saudi Arabia.
The Iranian-backed Houthis said they attacked the King Khalid Air Base in Saudi Arabia's southwestern city of Khamis Mushait with a drone.
They also claimed responsibility for a strike on a Saudi Aramco fuel depot in Jeddah, using a cruise missile.
At the same time, the Saudi's reported intercepting a ballistic missile fired at Jazan, a Saudi city on the Red Sea coast.
No reports about damage at any of the sites has been released.
While damage from Houthi strikes has often been minimal, the frequency of the attacks against Saudi Arabia has increased.
Just last week, Washington sent bombers to attack Iranian-backed fighters in Syria, in response to an attack on a military base in northern Iraq.
The Houthis began fighting the government of Yemen in 2014. In 2015, a Saudi-led coalition joined the fight on the side of the government of Yemen.
The Biden administration has said it would work to end the conflict in Yemen. It recently halted support for Saudi Arabia and sent Tim Lenderking, a former senior State Department official, to lead American peace efforts.
