<p>TRIPOLI, Libya - The fight for control of the Libyan capital Tripoli is continuing with clashes, airstrikes and heavy shelling in southern residential areas.</p><p>Medical authorities say that in the past 10 days there have been 682 casualties, consisting of 121 dead and 561 wounded. Among the dead are nine civilians including 4 health workers. Another twenty two civilians have been wounded.</p><p>"Displacement numbers continue to rapidly increase with over 13,500 individuals already displaced (most of them staying with family and acquaintances); people displaced in collective shelters has increased to over 900. There have been 881 requests for evacuations, only 119 could be successfully conducted. Many doctors and ambulance drivers were reported to have pulled out of the rescue operations due to the unsustainable risk they were exposed to," the European Commission's Directorate-General for <a href="https://ec.europa.eu/echo/who/about-echo_en">European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations</a> said in a statement released on Sunday.</p><p>"Vulnerable displaced people are assisted with food, non food items and medical assistance, including psychosocial support. However, medical supplies are rapidly depleting."</p><p>"About 1,500 asylum seekers, refugees and migrants are also at great risk, especially those detained near the affected areas," the report said.</p>
